Limetown

Our first venture into fiction. Half the group didn’t like it, half the group did. It was an interesting mystery to solve that we were guessing along the way. There is a season 2 for this one which we will likely work into the rotation. Also, Jessica Biel is starring and executive producing the ‘Limetown’ Facebook TV Series based on this podcast that I’m sure all of us will watch and then later discuss. @limetownstories#limetown#limetownpodcast#podcast #fictionaltruecrime

About the show | Ten years ago, over three hundred men, women and children disappeared from a small town in Tennessee, never to be heard from again. American Public Radio reporter Lia Haddock asks the question once more, “What happened to the people of Limetown?”

S-Town

Half of us felt we wouldn’t recommend this to someone. All of us agree if you listen to podcasts in the car with kids, this one definitely has a lot of bad language. The vibe of the podcast left us feeling like it was the exploitation of someone else’s bad fortune. We had high hopes from Serial and This American Life, but this one was a dud.

About the show | John despises his Alabama town and decides to do something about it. He asks a reporter to investigate the son of a wealthy family who’s allegedly been bragging that he got away with murder. But then someone else ends up dead, sparking a nasty feud, a hunt for hidden treasure, and an unearthing of the mysteries of one man’s life.
